2.5 hour program; 3 or 4 days per week

The three-year-old program provides a challenging and caring environment that supports your child’s desire to learn. We understand that each child progresses at his or her own pace according to their abilities and interests. Children are encouraged to learn how to problem solve and think through situations while making choices in an effort to develop a sense of self through the process of decision making. An atmosphere is provided where children feel confident to be themselves and at the same time, learn to work well as part of a group.  We introduce cognitive skills, such as, number concepts, letter recognition, language arts, vocabulary and science, in a stress-free, developmentally appropriate manner. We believe that children learn best when they are respected, treated as individuals in a classroom which is joyful and where they are having fun.

Our curriculum provides a balance of many different activities, such as, working with a variety of art media, sand and water play, fine motor tools, block building, cooking, participating in  circle time, dramatic play, music and movement as well as field trips.  The adjoining outdoor playground encourages gross motor skills, such as, climbing, peddling, jumping and running. We also help your child on his or her journey towards independence by working on self- help skills.  Pouring their own juice, hanging up their belongings, washing hands and personal hygiene, all contribute to a child’s sense of pride and accomplishment.

Communication between parents, teachers and children is both valued and encouraged.  Individual conferences are scheduled with the Head Teacher.

PARENT GROUP meets once a week in the parent room while the children participate in activities in the adjoining classroom.

Separation evolves as a gentle and gradual process dictated by the individual needs of each child and parent. We consider separation as on going and not a one time event.  We welcome a parent to stay in the classroom until both the child and parent feels secure enough to separate.

A small class size and three early childhood teachers, guarantees individual attention and support.   *** Potty training is not required to attend our programs.  ***
